The Office of Student Life at The Ohio State University is celebrating World Kindness Week with special events November 12-18.

Student Life, the Ohio State Alumni Association, the Athletics Department and the Columbus Foundation are hosting a special service event in honor of #WorldKindnessDay. The event will take place on Monday, November 13 from 5 – 8 p.m. at the French Field House.

A group of 600 volunteers will gather at to pack 210,000 meals in two hours through The Pack Shack: a crazy-fun, high-energy, high impact feed-the-funnel party. Alumni, students, athletes, employees, fans and families will pay forward and participate in this great act of kindness. Half the meals will be donated locally and the other half will be donated to those affected by the hurricanes. The meals represent two meals for each person in attendance at the Ohio State vs. Illinois game, where more kind acts will take place.

All Week
Resident Advisors and other student leaders will be performing random acts of kindness, including buying lunch, coffee and grocery items for random people, as well as working with local nonprofits on kind acts for their clients. This effort is made possible by a grant from the Kind Snacks.

Special thanks to Bartha, Donatos and Giant Eagle for their support of the kindness service project.

Kindness is about how we treat each other, from random acts to major projects, without expecting anything in return.
