Partner Engagement and Innovation
The Office of Student Life partners with many organizations and groups across the university, city and country to create the extraordinary student experience at The Ohio State University. The Partner Engagement and Innovation department focuses on sponsorship development, partner engagement and creative idea generation for special events and projects. Special events and projects include:
Kindness at Ohio State
The concept of kindness can seem simple, but it leads to powerful experiences and profound human connections. The Ohio State University Kindness Committee partners with Kind Columbus, student organizations and partners throughout the city to spread kindness. The committee plans kindness events, shares randoms acts of kindness and encourages all Buckeyes to be kind.
College in Columbus
Ohio State wants our extraordinary students to remain in Central Ohio to live, work and grow after graduation. We believe that by showing students all that the Columbus region has to offer with jobs, entertainment and internships, they will stay in the area and call Columbus their forever home. The College in Columbus initiative is focused on showcasing all that Columbus has to offer by partnering with and promoting the businesses and opportunities to showcase the impact they have on Columbus.
Each August, Columbus welcomes hundreds of student leaders from The Ohio State University, Columbus State Community College, Columbus College of Art & Design, Denison University and Ohio Dominican University into the city to explore all it has to offer. Students visit more than 30 locations across the city, learning about different ways they can explore Columbus.
To get first-year students excited about their new home, the Office of Student Life hosts a Columbus Welcome event in The Schottenstein Center. The event is filled with giveaways and tips for students to learn how to take advantage of the wealth of opportunities that exist just beyond the boundaries of campus.
