The Office of Student Life consists of more than 30 departments, all dedicated to helping Buckeyes engage, learn and thrive.

Our foundational understanding that every student has a unique background and set of needs informs every program and service offered by our departments.

Buckeye Careers

Buckeye Careers is an university-wide initiative designed to support students throughout their professional development, with a focus on connecting them with local, national and global organizations.

Buckeye Leadership Fellows

The Buckeye Leadership Fellows Program builds, in partnership with alumni and community leaders, unique transformative experiences for undergraduate students.

BuckID is your official Ohio State University ID and much more.

BMS

Building and Mechanical Services is responsible for maintaining Student Life facilities through an aggressive preventive and corrective maintenance program.

Multicultural Center

The Center for Belonging and Social Change (CBSC) offers hundreds of programs each year. The dialogues, trainings, workshops and intercultural programming offered by the CBSC touch on a wide range of identity development and social justice.

Center for the Study of Student Life

The Center for the Study of Student Life (CSSL) collaboratively conducts assessment, research and planning in order to empower our partners to make decisions to create the extraordinary student experience.

CCS

CCS provides individual and group mental health services, psychoeducational prevention and outreach programming to currently enrolled undergraduate, graduate and professional students.

Development

The Office of Student Life Development Office fosters and maintains connections with alumni and friends in an effort to enhance the student experience at The Ohio State University.

Dining Location

Dining Services operates more than 30 locations on campus, with a variety of service styles, locations, hours and cuisines.

SLDS

Student Life Disability Services collaborates with and empowers students who have disabilities in order to coordinate support services and programs that enable equal access to an education and university life.

EMS Green Buckeyes

Energy Management and Sustainability (EMS) works to engage students, faculty and staff with sustainability practices.

Environmental Services

Environmental Services provides oversight and technical training for all Student Life custodial operations. This includes trash collection, pest control and snow removal.

Event and Conference Management

Student Life oversees the management of event and conference centers, as well as special campus events and projects.

Facility Planning and Design

Facility Planning and Design leads and coordinates facilities planning and interior design services for the Office of Student Life.

Facility Services

Facility Services strives to provide eminent services and products through efficient resource management, advocating for students, staff and guests of all campus facilities to ensure acceptable environments for working, living and visiting.

Financial Management

Student Life Financial Management provides financial planning and guidance, detailed reporting and analysis, payroll processing and fiscal compliance.

Housing Administration

Living on campus offers many advantages and has been proven to enhance students’ success at Ohio State. Our residential communities offer students matchless support and safety, academic assistance and amazing leadership opportunities.

Human Resources

Human Resources works collaboratively with peers, business partners and employees to identify and implement solutions to business challenges and goals based on sound HR principles.

OSU Votes registers students to vote with help from Brutus at the Oval.

Leadership and Community Engagement offers a variety of campus wide programs, student groups, educational workshops and a connection to curricular coursework to support students' growth in leadership and community engagement.

MarComm

Student Life Marketing and Communications tells the story of the Office of Student Life and its multiple departments through the creation, implementation and assessment of effective integrated marketing communications.

Ohio Union

Built on a foundation of innovation, the Ohio Union is a premier venue that meets the changing needs of the college student by serving as a timeless center of activity, community dialogue and learning.

Parent and Family Relations

Parent and Family Relations is committed to engaging parents and families as key stakeholders through enhanced communications, involvement in programming, and through leadership and support of fundraising initiatives.

Partner Engagement and Innovation

The Office of Student Life partners with many organizations and groups across the university, city and country to help create the extraordinary student experience.

RPAC

Recreational Sports offers an extraordinary experience to live active and meaningful lives while on-campus. The unit is enhanced by its indoor and outdoor facilities, including five indoor locations and spacious parks and outdoor space.

Risk and Emergency Management

Risk and Emergency Management strives to make The Ohio State University a safe place for our students, staff, faculty and visitors to live, work, learn, play and visit.

Sorority and Fraternity Life

SFL within the Office of Student Life strives to cultivate chapters who live their values; to promote individual member growth and development, to engage alumni and to prepare members of responsible citizenship.

Student Activities

Student Activities creates transformational involvement and leadership opportunities with over 1,400 student organizations, immersive service trips and initiatives to serve locally and offers major campus events.

Disability Services

The Student Advocacy Center is committed to helping students navigate Ohio State's structure and to resolving issues that they encounter at the university.

Student Conduct 2

The Office of Student Life Student Conduct is focused on protecting student rights and helping to foster a safe and secure educational environment by upholding the standards of the university community.

Student Health Insurance

SHI manages the university's health insurance requirement and provides options to meet it. They help students make informed health insurance choices so they can protect their academic progress from disruptive health care costs.

Student Health Services

The Wilce Student Health Center, Student Life Student Health Services (SLSHS), is a Joint Commission accredited outpatient facility providing a variety of health care services to the student population.

Student philanthropy

Student Philanthropy strives to educate students on the cultural and financial impact of altruistic behavior, cultivate a strong understanding of gratitude, and provide opportunities for current students to engage in the behavior of giving.

Student Wellness Center

The Student Wellness Center at The Ohio State University empowers students to strive for balance and wellness. Wellness is an active, ongoing process which involves becoming aware of and taking steps toward a healthier and happier life.

Technology Services

SLTS enables each area of the Office of Student Life; through responsible, secure, and accessible technology; to conduct university business in support of the student's educational and campus life needs outside of the classroom.

University Catering

University Catering is committed to providing the finest, most professional catering service, personalized to meet your needs on or off campus.

OCCSS

OCCSE is the university's resource center for off-campus living and commuting, providing the means to find housing and roommates, resources to encourage safe practices, and supporting students to be a responsible neighbor.
