Staff Wellbeing, Education and Connection

The Wellbeing, Education and Connection Department aims to operationalize the mission and vision of the Office of Student life by empowering staff to:

  • experience a sense of community and mattering in the workplace by feeling included, seen and heard.
  • feel valued and respected for who they are and know that their contributions make a difference to others.
  • acknowledge and celebrate individual achievements and milestones, as well as team accomplishments.
  • engage in multi-modal growth and development opportunities that are responsive to their unique backgrounds, strengths, experiences, skills, and learning styles.
  • have awareness of and access to campus and community-based resources that support their holistic wellbeing

Connection and Belonging

Student Life Staff belonging and connection initiatives are hosted with the primary objective of:

  • creating community, building relationships and fostering connections with others at work
  • contributing to staff members feeling valued, seen and heard in the workplace
  • maintaining safe environments wherein staff feel empowered to be successful in their work

  • celebrate years of service or other workplace milestones
