Dear Student Life team,

Happy High Five Friday.

High Fives to everyone who attended the Belonging and Well-being Summit this week. It was an amazing day of discussion, learning and growth. High Fives to organizers Angie Wellman, Morgan Hammonds and Tanisha Jenkins, with High Fives as well to those who helped behind the scenes to make the summit a success including Julie Wagner, Aisha Echols, Candyce Williams, Hannah Warner, Colleen Lins, Chris Nesler and our stellar Ohio Union Audiovisual and Event Team student employees.

The two-day Spring Involvement Fair was a huge success this week with the highest number of participating organizations ever for the SIF, 462. High Five to event lead Erin McAlhaney, as well as to Jaylen Lindsey, Cassie Smith, Jesse Fernandez, Brooke Olson and Jeff Pelletier for their support. A special High Five to Natalie Hornback from Events and Conferences as well as the Ohio Union building operations and A/V staff who set up and supported the smooth running of the event from behind the scenes.

Julie Schnell and Madi Barnes get High Fives for coordinating an amazing MLK Jr. Day of Service. There were more than 450 participants volunteering over 1,000 hours of service for 16 community organizations. High Five as well to Aliya Beavers for an inspiring opening keynote speech.

High Five to Paul O’Leary and Zach Redecker for working diligently to resolve security and accommodation concerns for students in the residence halls. Your actions will enable our students to thrive where they live.

Building and Mechanical Services gets a High Five for quickly and efficiently taking care of a couple recent issues for Dining Services. High Fives to Alex Cates, Dan McKay and John Ellingson for their time, energy and efforts to replace a broken pump in the main dish machine at Scott. They were able to diagnosis the issue, locate a new pump (In Dayton), purchase and get the parts needed and repair the pump by 5 p.m. the same day, so that it was up and running in time for dinner service. High Fives as well to Jeremiah Odoi, Dan McKay, Alex Cates for work they did at Kennedy on another urgent project.

Have a Scarlet and Great weekend! Let's go C.J. Stroud (...I mean Texans!)
