Dear Student Life team, 

In February’s Scarlet and Great Gathering video, Dr. T. shared some important dates coming up. Rather than make you pause and rewind the video to catch them all, here are the dates that she shared. 

  • Monday, April 8: The annual Student Remembrance Ceremony at 6:30 p.m. at the Fawcett Center. This important event celebrates the memory of Buckeyes we’ve lost this academic year.

  • Wednesday, April 10: Our next Scarlet and Gray Gathering at 9:30 a.m. in the Ohio Union Archie M. Griffin Ballroom. The theme will be “appreciation.” Please note that we will have only one session this month, so if you can’t make it in-person, you can watch the live-stream or the recording that will be shared later.

  • Friday, April 12: The annual Leadership Awards at 4:30 p.m. in the Ohio Union.

  • Monday, April 22: The last day of spring semester classes.

  • Tuesday, April 23: Reading Day. There will be a list of events online at go.osu.edu/readingday as plans are released. 

  • Wednesday, April 24: I will again host the Spring Sizzle starting at 6:30 p.m., in the Archie M. Griffin West Ballroom in the Ohio Union.

  • Monday, April 29: Commencement Week begins. You can see a full schedule of events at commencement.osu.edu.

  • Saturday, May 4: Candlelight Ceremony at dusk on the Main Oval in front of the Thompson Library.

  • Sunday, May 5: Commencement in the ‘Shoe beginning at noon. If you’re interested in helping, email studentlife@osu.edu. 

  • Wednesday, May 29: O-H! What a Celebration for Student Life team members to acknowledge and celebrate all the many contributions that have gone into another successful academic year. 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. in the ‘Shoe.   

 

These are just a few of the important events coming up for the rest of this busy semester. You can find many more on the Student Life calendar, including the many year-end celebrations and more awards ceremonies.
