Dear Student Life team,

Happy High Five Friday.

BuckeyeLove is strong all across Ohio State. High Five to Tracy Stuck for leading the charge for Student Life!

The week began with a service event for Feed the Kids Columbus, where more than 6,000 snack bags (eight pallets!) were packed to be distributed to food insecure local children. High Fives to Julie Schnell for coordinating it, Adrienne Gladish and her team for dealing with all those pallets and Aubrie Smith, John Cronin, Drew Stark and Joe Hast for packing up and delivering the snack bags to Feed the Kids Columbus. High Fives as well to Jayden Messer, Kala Coyan McClure, Anna Wagner, Madi Barnes, Meagen Rinard, Mercedes Wallace, Lucy Hennon, Mike Jones and Cristina Vega for their coordination help, and to snack bag packers Natalie Hornback, Lindsay Arndt, Gabi Bockelman, Kim Monteaux De Freitas, Jason Holbrook, Jennifer Chilman, Seth Rhodes, Adam Specht, Christian Thompson, Tanisha Jenkins, Anne-Grace  Bambi, Kim Traverse, Ari Camel, Eric Jaburek, Leanne Stearns, Lindsey Boyd, Dani Rodriguez Pacheco, Eric Stucke, Nathan Darder, Lesa Holford, Kathie Serif, Abby Hertzfeld, Charity Martin-King, Estrella Jacobsen, Michelle Blackstone, Christian Manning, Indra Leyva Cook, Cerelia Bizzell, Michelle Miranda and Monica Stewart.

BuckeyeLove is flourishing on our regional campuses as well, including Wooster where Kelly Kyser (High Five!) reports they held a number of activities including bowling, ice skating, a road trip to Columbus planned for tonight’s Taste of OSU, intramural games, multiple giveaways and more. They also put up LOTS of decorations. In Lima, High Five to Justin Courtney for coordinating a “Pop Up Produce” event with the West Ohio Food Bank. 6,000 pounds of food were distributed to area families.

I’ll have lots more BuckeyeLove High Fives next week.

High Five to the Student Philanthropy team of Kristen Van Gundy, Jayden Messer, Felix Alonso our BuckeyeThon student leaders, dancers and miracle families for making some big miracles happen at Dance Marathon this past weekend, raising $560,032.34 for the kids down the street at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

OSU PD’s Dennis Jeffrey and team get High Fives for helping Off-Campus and Commuter Student Engagement (OCCSE) and Dining Services by making sure a food truck was safely moved off a busy sidewalk after a recent community event.

OCCSE also wants Matthew Moore of Business and Finance to get a High Five for supporting the department with their upcoming ad sales campaign.

High Fives to Mollie Workman, Taylor Koon and Jennifer Chilman for quickly jumping in and covering a Buckeye Careers teammate’s student appointments and workshops on short notice due to a family emergency.

Have you seen the newly re-envisioned Nike Lounge at RPAC? It’s amazing, and High Fives to Stephanne Musser, Dave DeAngelo, D’Arcy Oaks, Scott Holmes, Donta Ingram and Becky Groody for their work on this project.

Have a Scarlet and Great weekend!
