Kellie Uhrig, MBA

Kellie Uhrig, MBA Associate Vice President and Chief of Staff

Kellie serves as an associate vice president and chief of staff for the Office of Student Life, directly supporting executive operations and providing consultation and advisement. She also oversees strategic communication efforts across all Student Life departments and acts as a liaison to internal and external partners. Kellie currently supports a variety of Student Life units including those that offer career support, counseling and health services. She is also focused on community engagement, sponsorships and innovation. Kellie earned a BS in business administration and MBA from Ohio State. Before joining the Student Life staff in 2008, she was director of marketing and branding for The Columbus Dispatch.



Jen Cottrell

Jen Cottrell Director, Marketing Operations

Jen leads marketing operations for the Office of Student Life ensuring alignment with university and Student Life values, strategic areas of focus, branding and visual identity. Jen earned her BA in interpersonal communications from Bowling Green State University. She joined the Office of Student Life as an Assistant Director of Marketing in 2008. Prior to coming to Ohio State, Jen worked in The Columbus Dispatch events and advertising divisions.

Gladys Gibbs, MD

Gladys Gibbs, MD Director, Student Health Services

Dr. Gibbs is responsible for all aspects of the student health care program and student health policies, including providing leadership in the development and delivery of health related programs and services. She also serves as the general public health officer for students.

A Columbus native, Dr. Gibbs has recently returned from the east coast. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Masters in Management from Purdue University. She possesses a degree in Dentistry from Harvard University and a degree in Medicine from the University of Chicago.

Kathleen Hatch

Kathleen Hatch Executive Director, Recreational Sports

Kathleen provides vision and leadership for Recreational Sports programs, services and facilities. Prior to joining Ohio State, Kathleen served as Assistant Vice President Campus Life at Washington State University and as a consultant developing innovative approaches to designing healthy campuses. Kathleen served as President of NIRSA: Leaders in Collegiate Recreation (2013-14) and is a recognized international leader with over 25 years in higher education. Kathleen is a catalyst for inspiring cultural and organizational change while maximizing opportunities within the built and natural environments.  

Kathleen has been professionally active with several higher education associations for broader collective impact strategies including NIRSA, ACHA, NASPA, CACUSS and other active living, recreation, sport organizations and ministries.

Dave Isaacs

Dave Isaacs Manager, Communication and Media Relations

Dave handles news media inquiries to the Office of Student Life along with other communications duties. He joined the university in 2012 after serving as Communications Director at the Ohio House of Representatives. Prior to that, he spent a number of years as a broadcast journalist, including news management positions at news radio stations in Columbus, Ohio; Grand Rapids and Detroit, Michigan; and Houston and Austin, Texas. Dave is a Columbus native, and received his BA from Denison University and an MA from the John Glenn College of Public Affairs at Ohio State.

Blake Marble

Blake provides leadership for Student Life's Student Wellness Center by working with students, staff, faculty and community partners to create a campus environment that supports and promotes student success and well-being. This entails assessing the holistic needs of students and developing policies, programs and services that aid them in reaching their goals. He received his BS in Exercise Science and MEd in Administration of Higher Education, both from Auburn University. Blake joined the Student Life Student Wellness Center in July of 2013.

Anne McDaniel, PhD

Anne leads research and assessment efforts for the Office of Student Life. Prior to joining the Center for the Study of Student Life as an Associate Director in 2013, she was an Assistant Professor in the School of Education at the University of California, Irvine. Her research interests include gender, racial and socioeconomic inequalities in higher education, especially as they relate to student experiences and success. Anne received her Bachelor's, Masters and PhD in Sociology from Ohio State and was a postdoctoral researcher at Columbia University.

Chris Rideout, PhD

Chris Rideout, PhD Director, Career Counseling and Support Services
Psychologist, Counseling and Consultation Service

Chris oversees and administers Career Counseling and Support Services, which promotes academic, personal and occupational success by assisting students in career decision-making and career development. She also provides counseling and clinical supervision and training at the Counseling and Consultation Service. She holds a BA in psychology and a master's degree in rehabilitation counseling from the University of Florida and a PhD in counseling psychology from Michigan State University. She has been in Student Life at Ohio State since 1985. Prior to that, she worked at Ohio Wesleyan University in the Counseling, Advising and Placement Center and taught in the Psychology Department.

Tracy Stuck

Tracy Stuck Program Director, Community Partnership and Innovation

Tracy serves as Program Director for Community Partnership and Innovation for the Office of Student Life. Her focus is on sponsorship development, engagement throughout the city and state and creative idea generation for special events and projects. Tracy received her BA in education at Westminster College and her MA in counseling and educational psychology at Slippery Rock University. She has been at Ohio State since 1994 and overseen various departments throughout Student Life and projects such as building the new Ohio Union, Greek Life Task Force and the Student Activity fee.

Micky M. Sharma, PsyD

Micky M. Sharma, PsyD Director, Counseling and Consultation Service

Micky is responsible for vision, leadership and administrative direction for Counseling and Consultation Service, which has 48 mental health staff members and 19-21 multidisciplinary mental health interns, fellows and advanced graduate practicum students, who provide a range of mental health and substance abuse services to Ohio State students. He joined the Student Life team in August 2011, bringing experience from his previous positions as executive director of the Counseling and Student Development Center at Northern Illinois University (2007-2011) and associate director of Counseling and Wellness Services at Wright State University (2000-2007). Micky received his BS in psychology from the University of Dayton and his Psy.D. in clinical psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology/Chicago Campus.

Nancy Thompson

Nancy Thompson Director, Buckeye Careers

Nancy provides strategic leadership for Buckeye Careers, a program that offers career development assistance, support and resources for all Ohio State students. Nancy joined Student Life in 2014, bringing 20 years of experience from prior positions at JPMorgan Chase, Bank One and Gap Inc. Direct.  She has spent majority of her career in the employee development space working in various training and development leadership roles in Technology, HR, Finance, and Operations. Nancy earned her business administration degree from Ohio University.
