Cheryl Lyons, EdD

Dr. Cheryl Lyons serves as the director of Student Life Disability Services. She and her team collaborate with, empower students with disabilities, and serve as consulting resources for university faculty and staff. Their office coordinates the support services and programs that enable equal access to an education and university life for over 6,000 students with disabilities. The office services include access specialists, exam services, interpreters, transcribers, a braillist and Accessible Media services.

Cheryl has over 20 years of University Housing experience, including serving as the former director of Residence Life. She holds a BA in Sociology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, a MS in College Student Personnel Services from Miami University, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Studies - Higher Education and Student Affairs from The Ohio State University. Before coming to Ohio State, Cheryl served as Coordinator of Student Development at California Polytechnic State University.
