Julie Schultz, EdD

Dr. Schultz’s career in higher education has focused on student transition and success, student development, family engagement, and retention initiatives. She currently provides leadership for STEP, the Scarlet and Gray Advantage Learning Community and other strategic student initiatives within the Office of Student Life.

Dr. Schultz previously worked in the Offices of Undergraduate Admissions, University Orientation and First Year Experience at Ohio State, and most recently as the Associate Dean of Students and Director of First-Year Orientation and Family Engagement at Carnegie Mellon University.

Dr. Schultz earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology and master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from The Ohio State University and her Doctor of Education degree from The University of Pittsburgh.

Outside of work, you can find Dr. Schultz taking a hike in a local metro park, sampling a new restaurant in town, or listening to an audio book or podcast.
