Student Communities

International Students

The Office of International Affairs facilitates international experiences for students and faculty, supports academic programs and research, coordinates international partnerships, administers grants and scholarships for global engagement and contributes to enriching the Ohio State experience for the university’s international student and scholar population.

Undergraduate Students

The Undergraduate Student Government (USG) advocates for Ohio State Students in the local, state and federal governments in higher-education policy while representing all undergraduate students in academic, financial and policy decisions at the university.

Graduate Students

The Graduate School exists to provide a central resource to prepare and sustain graduate programs for excellence, ensure the integrity and quality of the graduate programs, share knowledge and best practices to support the advancement of graduate students and programs, nurture career development and a positive culture for the next generation of learned scholars, such that our alumni value their education, and appreciate the importance of their graduate colleagues and programs.

The Council of Graduate Students (CGS) is the official branch of student government that represents every graduate student at the main and regional campuses. Their primary purpose is to work towards a continual improvement of the graduate student experience at The Ohio State University.

Professional Students

The Inter-Professional Council (IPC) is the official student government of the six Professional Colleges of Dentistry, Law, Medicine, Optometry, Pharmacy and Veterinary Medicine. IPC serves the Ohio State student body, along the Council of Graduate Students and the Undergraduate Student Government, to provide student representation within the shared governance of the university with Ohio State faculty and administrators.

DACA and Undocumented Students

The Ohio State University welcomes students who have DACA status, are undocumented, or have undocumented family members to our diverse educational community. We are committed to providing support for all of our students so that they may focus on the pursuit of their education while at The Ohio State University. We recognize the unique obstacles that these students and their families may encounter in pursuing their college education. The Ohio State University strives to ensure that our students successfully navigate the university experience.

Parents and Families

Parent and Family Relations is committed to engaging parents and families as key stakeholders in The Ohio State University through enhanced communications, involvement in programming, and through leadership and support of fundraising initiatives.
