Dr. Smith has over 20 years of housing and residence life experience and serves as the Senior Director of Housing and Residence Education. There are over 17,000 students that live on campus at The Ohio State University and Housing and Residence Education has over 90 full-time and graduate staff members who provide opportunities for students to engage, learn and thrive. 

Dr. Smith earned a BS in sociology from Central Michigan University and both a MA in student affairs administration and a PhD in higher, adult and lifelong education from Michigan State University. She has worked in residence life at The Ohio State University since July of 2016.
