Peter Thurston Carrera is an Operations Management PhD Candidate at the Fisher College of Business. Prior to joining Fisher in 2020, Peter worked in various operational, management, and executive positions over 10 years at Accor Hotels, Cornell University, Sabre, Mariott/Starwood Hotels, Relais & Châteaux and NASA. His research interests lie in the field of operational excellence, especially in the context of service operations. Beyond his research, Peter is an avid reader and writer, and enjoys swimming, playing basketball and practicing judo. He is originally from Greenbelt, MD.
