Welcome back, Buckeyes! As you return from winter break and gear up for the spring semester, now is the perfect time to set yourself up for success. Here are some strategies and resources to help you start strong:

Use Your Resources

Academic Support

·         Dennis Learning Center: Get help with study strategies, time management, and more. Schedule a one-on-one appointment with an academic coach to address your specific concerns.

·         Student Life Disability Services (SLDS): If you need accommodations, register with SLDS. Documentation from a healthcare provider is required.

Mental Health

·         Counseling and Consultation Service (CCS): Offers workshops, individual therapy, and group therapy.

·         Let’s Talk: Quick, same-day or next-day chats with a counselor.

·         Student Wellness Center: Try Wellness Coaching for holistic well-being.

·         Pro Tip: Schedule self-care—even a few minutes daily can make a difference.

Physical Health

·         Stay active! Take a group fitness class at the RPAC or bundle up for a walk around campus. Movement supports both physical and mental health.

Get Involved

·         Explore student organizations that match your interests.

·         Spring Student Involvement Fair: January 21–22, 4-7 p.m. A great chance to meet new people and find your community!

Make a Plan

Set realistic academic and personal goals for the semester. Break them into small, specific steps and track your progress. Remember: measurable goals are more achievable than broad aspirations.

·         Ohio State Spring Career Fair: Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1-5 p.m., Ohio Union Grand Ballroom.

·         Understanding CPT and OPT for International Students: Virtual info session on Thursday, Jan. 29, noon-1 p.m.
