Your Student Life: Monda Student Resource Center

August 26, 2025

There are some things you need that are absolutely essential, things like food, housing or clothing. It’s difficult to function as a student if those needs aren’t met.

That’s why the new Monda Student Resource Center (MSRC) is available to you. It is designed to help you access resources and support from campus and community partners.

Located in the Younkin Success Center, the MSRC provides support in a centralized location. Ohio State has many university programs and community partnerships to meet essential needs; the MSRC pulls these resources together in one place so you don’t have to figure out all the places you might need to go for support.

In the center, you’ll find an on-campus food pantry, free hygiene products, professional clothing and more. Staff from the Student Advocacy Center, ACCESS Collaborative,  Student Life Disability Services and various community partners are available to meet with students both in-person and virtually. Because the MSRC is strategically located in the Younkin Success Center, you can leverage co-located support through Counseling and Consultation Service, Buckeye Careers and the Dennis Learning Center.

The Monda Student Resource Center is available to all Ohio State students (undergraduate, graduate, professional and doctoral) who could benefit from any or all of the services.

Your success as a student can depend on whether your essential needs are met. National research has found that among students who experience food or housing insecurity, 32% report it had a negative impact on their academics (Dubick et al., 2016; Hagedorn-Hatfield et al., 2022). Supporting your essential needs has a direct impact on your academic and long-term success.
