Your Student Life: Career Coaching for Grad-Prof

Whether seeking academic, post-doctoral or non-academic careers, Graduate and Professional students can utilize coaching appointments with Buckeye Careers through the Buckeye Commons.

Career coaching is an opportunity for all students to seek individualized advice and answers regarding careers, internships, graduate or professional school and transitioning from student to professional. Our career coaches will help you clarify your goals, explore personal concerns and develop an individualized career plan. Students can also use career coaching to get feedback on resumes/CVs and cover letters, as well as practice interviewing skills.

To make an appointment, log-in to your Handshake account, click “Career Center,” and click “Appointments.” From there, you will be able to schedule an appointment with a Buckeye Careers coach. If you are unable to use Handshake to schedule an appointment, please send us an email and we can arrange an appointment with one of our career coaches.

All Ohio State undergraduate, graduate, professional and post-doctoral students have free access to Handshake through their @osu.edu email address. For questions regarding your Handshake access, please contact handshake@osu.edu.

Virtual Drop-In

Do you have a quick career related question or seeking some additional feedback on your resume? Sign-up to attend a virtual drop-in appointment hosted by Buckeye Careers. These 15-minute virtual appointments offer schedule flexibility to talk with a staff member in Buckeye Careers to get your questions answered and provide guidance.

These drop-ins are on a first come, first serve basis allowing you 15 minutes during the one-hour block. Drop-in appointment registration opens 24 hours before and closes at the start time in Handshake. No drop-ins on university-observed holidays.
