Your Student Life: Campus Dining – From Quick Bites to Hidden Gems

When your stomach starts growling on The Ohio State University campus, there are a wide variety of Dining Services locations to choose from.
Beyond the three Traditions locations, Ohio State’s Dining Services has cafés, marketplaces, coffee shops, quick service restaurants, food trucks and retail shops. Conveniently, these campus eateries all accept meal plans, Visits, Visit Exchanges, Dining Dollars, Buck ID Cash, credit cards and mobile payments like Apple Pay.
Discovering new dining spots is easy with the Ohio State or GrubHub app. You can see menus, hours of operations and easy-to-follow directions on how to find each dining location. In the GrubHub app, you can order your food ahead of time so it’s ready to pick up when you arrive.
Postle Café
One of the newest coffee shops, Postle Café, is a hidden gem on campus. This café is tucked inside the Postle Hall on the College of Dentistry campus, near the intersection of W. 12th Ave. and Neil Ave. You can build your own breakfast sandwich or burrito, enjoy a rotating selection of soups or snag a salad or deli sandwich for lunch. There’s plenty of comfortable seating indoors and outdoors to grab a coffee with a friend.
Oxley’s by the Numbers Café
Another campus restaurant that’s a satisfying option for lunch is Oxley’s by the Number Café. Grab one of the best breakfast sandwiches on campus. Or, build your own sandwich or sub. For a healthy snack, there’s pineapple, watermelon and frozen fruit. Oxley’s is located between the Northwest and Tuttle garages, near the corner of W. 19th Ave. and Neil Ave. Look for the giant blue number sculptures.
Skip-the-Line
When you’re in a hurry, you can use the skip-the-line feature on the GrubHub app to quickly order drinks, meals and snacks. You’ll be able to easily order your meal and get your order faster.
Food Trucks
Use the GrubHub app to locate and order from food trucks across campus. The food trucks rotate throughout campus so check in GrubHub to find your favorite truck. You can order food using your meal plan or credit card.
Student Employment
Want a free meal? Dining student employees can get a free meal every shift worked. Plus, you can work close to your home or residence hall and have flexible scheduling. Dining is now hiring for the fall 2024 semester. Apply for a job today.
