Your Student Life: BuckeyeThon 2026

January 20, 2026

When Buckeyes come together, miracles happen, and this February, we’re dancing for a future where every kid deserves to be a buckeye.

BuckeyeThon’s Dance Marathon is on February 7 in the Ohio Union from 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.! All members of the campus community are invited to come stand with us in our fight against pediatric cancer! Join us for our opening and closing ceremonies, food, fun activities such as laser tag and line dancing, a rave with DJ and other surprises.

BuckeyeThon’s mission is to create awareness and raise funds for children with cancer and blood disorders. As the official philanthropy of the Office of Student Life, BuckeyeThon focuses on children being treated in the Hematology, Oncology and Bone & Marrow Transport Unit at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

BuckeyeThon works to achieve this mission through programs and events, which enhance the student experience; promote the value of philanthropy; establish a spirit of service; and cultivate relationships between students, faculty, staff and community members.

Throughout the year BuckeyeThon works with 15 families and children who are currently or have fought pediatric illnesses at Nationwide Children's Hospital. While some of our children have battled pediatric cancer and blood disorders, BuckeyeThon celebrates the life of all children treated at Nationwide Children's regardless of their diagnosis. Our ‘Champion Kids’ and ‘Champion Families’ participate in all our events and connect with the campus community to spread awareness for our cause.
