March 4, 2026
Dear Student Life,
Spring Break is coming! You’re probably as happy to hear that as our students are. And as I always do around break, I’m asking you to use some of that time to focus on taking care of yourself.
Spring Break is an excellent opportunity to catch our breath and hopefully de-stress, setting us up for success for the home stretch of the academic year. It gives us a little space during an otherwise busy season to reflect, get to some of the projects that have been mounting, take advantage of the quieter campus environment and maybe even take some time for our own, personal well-being.
As part of that, please do your best to avoid scheduling non-critical meetings the week of March 16-20. I’ll do what I can to help. I’m extending our usual meeting-free Fridays to include all the days of Spring Break. Where that isn’t possible, schedule only meetings that are essential and mission critical.
The end of the semester is getting very close. That’s a good reason to celebrate and do something nice for yourself. It’s a Scarlet and Great time to make sure you are supporting your well-being...and yes, as always, GO BUCKS!
