Student Life team members took 24-million steps during the challenge going nearly 12,000 miles.

I had a wonderful time this week at the Facilities Staff Appreciation Breakfast and was pleased to be able to thank the team members with an in-person High Five for doing so much to get our spaces ready for the start of the academic year. They also handed out awards during the breakfast, so High Fives to the winners who were recognized for exemplifying our culture commitments of appreciation, connection, support and care: Said Mouloua, Thomas Folefac, Matt Wells, Nicole Loveless, Tyree Watson, Adam Cutright, Mark Hoy, Sarah Reese, Walt Vivod, Alex Cates, Paul Wojdacz and Stephanie Boron.

High Fives to Chelsea Arnold, Ven Palmieri and Josh Bailey for assisting an injured student and ensuring they got the needed medical attention.

Tara Nord of Buckeye Careers gets a High Five for her leadership during the University-wide Career and Internship Fair this week. It’s a huge and important event with a lot of moving pieces. Tara was on top of it, from planning to dealing with unexpected circumstances during the fair. High Fives as well to everyone who helped out to make the fair such a great success.

High Five to Rashida Bowman for, as a colleague put it, “helping me navigate the thorny world of Buckeye Learn reports, which makes my brain small and achy. Rashida is a wizard!”

Student Conduct is grateful for the assistance in the search for an anti-hazing compliance specialist position. High Fives to Will Cangialosi, Lisa Pfeifer, Kristen Rupert Davis, Erin McAlhaney as well as Athletics Compliance’s Doug Archie and the Marching Band’s LaShanda Coleman for interviewing candidates, and High Five to Jaylen Lindsey for providing extra consultation throughout the search.

Finally, High Five to everyone who has already contributed to the 2024 Buckeyes for Charity campaign.

Have a Scarlet and Great weekend, and of course, GO BUCKS!
