Dear Student Life team,
Happy High Five Friday!
It’s Homecoming Weekend, and High Fives to everyone who is ready to make this weekend a big success for all our returning alumni, as well as our current students. And High Five to everyone who is helping with the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) Plaza dedication events – we will share photos of the festivities next week!
High Fives to Eddie Nott and Dan Laffey in Facilities Operations, for taking care of a number of projects around the Ohio Union, including installing new bottle fillers at the water fountains and making several banner changeouts in the Great Hall.
The Student Life Creative team of Travis Barnhart, J. Randall Hicks, Evelyn McBride, Johna Walls and Mariana Weflen get High Fives for all their work with our departments and student orgs on graphics and visual presentations for the many activities and programs during the semester. They keep us looking good.
Disability Services’ Stacy Grover, Caity McCandless, Julia Olejko and the student exam team get High Fives for managing a critical incident in their area with calm professionalism and care. Their day-to-day dedication and extra efforts during midterms have been High Five worthy as well.
Technology Services’ Mohammed Baseer gets a High Five from Student Life Counseling Services on the Newark campus for his help implementing an electronic recordkeeping system. Mental Health Therapist Stephayne Harris writes, “Baseer has been with us every grueling step of the way! His expertise, his calm manner while explaining (and in my case repeating himself on many occasions) and his persistence in working with the vendor to get solutions and answers, all has eased our path.”
High Five to the Student Life team in Lima, Justin F. Courtney, Amy Livchak, Rachel Richardson and Chad Welker, for planning and executing their first annual “Student Life Autumn Leadership Workshop.” The featured guest was nationally known speaker David Coleman, also known as the Dating Doctor, with sessions that covered engagement, learning, thriving, customer service and creating a culture of service.
Have a Scarlet and Great Homecoming Weekend! O-H!
