Today's Update: Friday, March 6, 2026
March 6, 2026
Dwear Student Life team,
Happy High Five Friday!
High Five to everyone, and there were many, who helped secure approval for the residence hall project that I outlined in yesterday’s Today’s Update. It was truly a team effort.
Chris Nesler and Wes Larkin get High Fives for expeditiously addressing an issue with the screens in Woody’s.
High Fives to the Suicide Prevention Program’s Laura Lewis, Amaya Rakes, Anna Cinelli, Ava Lewis, Ja'lyn Jones, Laura Onianwa, Eno Ekong, Ellie Wilging, Madison McAfee, Sacha Cheng and Tomas Guzman for hosting a special viewing of the premiere of the documentary "Breaking the Cycle: Iron Will," a powerful film about taking on challenges to build resilience and perseverance. Special shout-out to Jen Vandemark for closing out the event with inspiring remarks about her own demonstration of resilience as she bravely beat cancer and how cycling unexpectedly became her avenue for staying healthy post-cancer.
Don’t forget that this is time-change weekend. Clocks go ahead one hour Saturday night.
Have a Scarlet and Great weekend, and no matter what time it is, Go Bucks!
