July 18, 2025

Dear Student Life team,

Happy High Five Friday.

High Five to Candice Williams of Facilities for a great showing at the recent Special Olympics on campus. She won the gold medal in singles tennis and a bronze medal in doubles play. High Fives as well to her colleagues Bridget Hildreth, Troy Keller and Andrew Crow for coming out and cheering her on during her matches.

Ohio Union Operations Coordinator Sarah Rensko gets a High Five for seeing a need and stepping up to organize a supply drive for the new Monda Student Resource Center. She is collecting cash or Venmo donations (@Sarah-Rensko) until August 15 to purchase much needed items to give to the Buckeye Food Alliance pantry before fall semester begins.

High Fives to everyone who has signed up to help out at next month’s Ohio Anti-Hazing Summit. They could still use more people, especially presentation ambassadors and floor coordinators. You can sign up online with the Day-Of Volunteer Sign-Up Form.

Parent and Family Relations gets a High Five for opening an online, limited-time store with Buckeye Family Tailgate branded apparel. It includes men’s, women’s and unisex items, plus some really cute gear for small children. The store closes at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23. High Five to Marketing’s Rachel Conners for finding the new items available in the store.

High Five to Dr. Zia Ahmed, Jeremy Gabis, Dr. Qiana Smith, Dave Wiseley, Dan Huffman, Dr. Anne McDaniel and Kellie Uhrig for their tremendous work on an important SL initiative that could have tremendous impact on our iconic Buckeye experience.

Have a Scarlet and Great weekend, and, let me hear you, Go Bucks!
