Today's Update: Friday, February 7, 2025
February 7, 2025
Dear Student Life team,
Happy High Five Friday.
Buckeye Love Month is well underway, full of gratitude and appreciation. This week, Student Life surprised a number of classes with a special pizza party, delivered by the leadership at Donatos. Today is National Make a Card for a Friend Day, so even if you missed yesterday’s Cookies and Cards event with Cheryl Lyons you can still send a heartfelt card to a friend or colleague. You’ve probably also seen the signs with encouraging messages placed around campus. Next week we’re partnering with OUAB Grad/Prof and Coca-Cola to offer three sessions of “Cooking for Good,” hands-on cooking classes to teach simple meaningful recipes you can make for family, friends or neighbors—perfect for when you want to drop off a meal or brighten someone’s day with a kind act.
High Fives to everyone making these events and more possible, led by Tracy Stuck, and including Jeremy Gabis, Daren Lehman, Jenn Miller, Hal Tedrow, Lori Green, Bridgett Keener, Jen Nelson, Jen Vandemark, Morgan Hammonds, Kim Traverse, Drew Stark, Thyrone Henderson, Joe Hast, John Cronin, Daphine Choy, Kevin Bledsoe, Samantha Bradway, Allan Leary, Natalie Hornback, Candyce Williams, Stacy Smith, Cheryl Lyons, Hannah Warner, Adrienne Gladish and staff, Anita McCoy, Dave Isaacs, Sean Stewart, Spencer Litzenberger, Laura Lewis, Jen Chilman, Kathie Serif, Patrick Ionno, Travis Barnhart and the men of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity.
We’re heading into the spring professional conference season. High Five to you if you’re reinforcing our role as national leaders by attending. If you’re presenting at either NASPA or ACPA, be sure to let us know by filling out this online form: go.osu.edu/conferencesurvey. And High Five to Akua Nelson for pulling together all the information on Ohio State presenters.
Have a Scarlet and Great weekend, and as always, Go Bucks!
