December 19, 2025

Dear Student Life team,

Happy High Five and Commencement Weekend Friday!

Ohio Union Activities Board hosted OUABreakfast on Reading Day, Thursday, Dec. 11, offering students a complimentary breakfast to help fuel their day of studying. A big High Five to everyone who helped make the event a success, including Brooke Olson, Abby Frank, Kristen Swope, Kristen Rupert Davis, Stephanie Grissett, Brian Fitts, Matt Couch, Teri Cugliari, Mindy Clagg, Maia Gardner, Jenn Miller, Morgan Vibbert, Ryan Lovell, Tori Rehr, Dave Isaacs, Estrella Jacobson, Jaylen Lindsey, Chrisse Edmonds, Candyce Williams, Jayden Messer, Anna Sullivan Kvam, Re'Nesha Weston, Delanie Householder, Christy Muhoberac, Sarah Rensko, Colleen Lins and Kady Gies.

High Five to Kristen Hill of Buckeye Careers for her exceptional support of Student Life Disability Services during exam proctoring at Younkin Success Center. Throughout the past two weeks, Kristen has gone above and beyond, providing essential supplies, offering guidance and even securing an additional room for testing. “Proctoring exams for our students is certainly a collaborative effort, and I truly appreciate Kristen’s recent assistance.” Nice work, Kristen! And after the first of the year, we will be sure to include a High Five to the full list of team members who helped out with various aspects of SLDS finals week responsibilities.

A High Five also goes to Risk and Emergency Management’s Teri Cugliari, Mindy Clagg and Jaylen Lindsey for dropping off a cart full of gifts donated by the team to the Toys for Tots campaign sponsored by Ohio State's Department of Public Safety. The donations were greatly appreciated.  Another High Five to John Cronin and the Warehouse and Moves Team for consistently providing red carts each year for the past six years, an essential contribution that helps ensure the program’s logistical success.

Last, though certainly not least, a merry and bright High Five to the entire Student Life team! You helped students engage, learn and thrive ALL throughout 2025, and I am so incredibly grateful. As a reminder, I’m encouraging everyone to take the time they can over Winter Break, and to model this, today’s message will be our last High Five Friday of the calendar year (though I hope you know I appreciate you EVERY day of the year). In the meantime, have a safe, happy, healthy and restful end to the year. And never forget: YOU are Scarlet and Great…and as absolutely always, GO BUCKS!
