Dear Student Life team,

Happy High Five Friday, and happy 2023!

High Fives to everyone who tried to spend some time relaxing and refreshing over winter break. The new semester officially starts Monday, and I’m excited for all the opportunities we’ll have to help students, and ourselves, engage, learn and thrive. 

Even though we had the academic recess, I know there were still many team members who had work responsibilities, so High Five to all of you, too. This includes all those who had to work over the holiday to respond to water damage caused to several facilities after boiler issues at the university’s steam plant: Andrew Crow, Troy Keller, Bridget Hildreth, Kasey Resendes, Stephanie Boron, Jovian Chapman, Jasmine Johnson, Mario Acuna, Benjamin Atigoh, Samuel Raymond, Ralph Cottrill, Humphrey Nikoi, Kevin Bledsoe, Chuck Winchell, John Bledsoe, Abby Hertzfeld, Kristin Knisley, Sarah Reese, Mark Eldridge, Kirk Winters, Rosa Gaerlan, Mo Gagel and Preston Tartt. 

I wasn’t happy about the outcome of the game, but the Student Life Bowl Tour was truly Scarlet and Great. It is clear from the participant feedback that the experience was exceptional in all the ways, from start to finish. High Fives to everyone involved for their hard work, creativity, care and energy, both here and in Atlanta, including Tracy Stuck, Daren Lehman, Cord Lehman, Yvonne Dulaney, J. Randall Hicks, Josh Bodnar, Sean Stewart, Devon Stith, Shayanna Hinkle-Moore, Emmanuel Long, Dave Wiseley, Tiffany Quattlebaum, Preston Tartt, Jen Cottrell, Travis Barnhart, Johna Walls, Rachel Conners, Dave Isaacs, Kellie Uhrig, Kailee Missler, Candyce Williams, Stacy Smith, Ash Zaouia, Isabel Biasella, Adrienne Gladish, John Cronin and Dan Hausman. 

High Five to the "Quad Squad" at Ohio State Lima (Justin F. Courtney, Amy Livchak, Rachel Richardson and Chad Welker), as well as their Student Life Assistants Crystal Altstaetter, Clayton Emerick, Dylan Wierwille, Sam Knoth, Katie Williamson, Skyler Scoles and Ayden Cupples, for coordinating the new and transfer Student Orientation for spring 2023.
