Well, Well Wellness
When you think about finals week, what is the first word that comes to mind? I’ll bet for most students it’s “stress.” While mild levels of stress are expected and can actually lead to better performance, some students find that the pressure of finals impacts their mental health and ability to function at their best. This article from The Lantern features advice from a fellow student as well as from Counseling and Consultation Service Outreach Director Harry Warner, LPCC-S: https://www.thelantern.com/2023/03/midterm-season-how-students-can-manage-their-mental-health-while-studying-for-exams/

Voter Friendly Campus
Ohio State has been named a 2023-2024 Voter Friendly Campus for efforts to empower students with the information and tools they need to vote and participate in the political process. The Voter Friendly Campus designation program is a partnership between the Fair Elections Center’s Campus Vote Project and NASPA’s (Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education) LEAD Initiative. The honor is in part thanks to the effort by Student Life’s OSU Votes cohort and Student Life’s Leadership and Community Engagement area.

Commencement Week
Congratulations to the Class of ‘23! You are about to join a large, but very select group that can point proudly to being graduates of The Ohio State University. Check out online all the activities coming up during Commencement Week.

High Five
High Five to Annie Driscoll and Heather Muselin, student employees who both helped out at the Student Remembrance Ceremony.  High Fives to the rest of the Student Advocacy Center’s full-time and student staff for the important work they do to support other Buckeyes and their families! Their website has more on all the services Student Advocacy provides.

Things to do on Campus
Student Life is hosting the Spring Sizzle for students on Thursday, April 27, from 7:30-9 p.m. in the Ohio Union Performance Hall. Join for a study break and enjoy breakfast items, hot off the griddle.

Did you know?
Undergraduate Student Government has initiated the Textbook Exchange Network for students looking for an inexpensive source to buy or sell textbooks. Upon registration with the Network, students can buy and sell textbooks based on their semester needs, with full profits going towards the students themselves. Tabling to collect used textbooks for sale will be in the Ohio Union this week through Friday, April 21. More information is online

O-H! The Places You’ll Go
Looking for a way to stay cool indoors this summer? How about visiting Scene 75, the Largest Indoor Entertainment Center in Columbus! You can save money by getting gift cards through D-Tix, Ohio State’s discount ticket program. Scene 75 gift cards are just $10 each, but worth $20! You can get two per BuckID per week for current Ohio State Columbus campus students. There are plenty of other opportunities as well, including shows, museums, concerts, sporting events and more available at an exclusive rate. Find out more online. Please note, graduating seniors and other Spring Semester students can get D-Tix through the end of May!
