Dear Buckeyes,
Good luck as the semester comes to a close! I know this can be a stressful time, but you have almost made it to the end of the academic year. Take a deep breath, and know you’ve got this.
And to everyone about to graduate: congratulations! You are about to join a large but select group: alumni of The Ohio State University. I am very proud of you, as you should be proud of yourself. And even though your “official” time here is coming to a close, I hope you’ll come back to campus often.
As you go about the last days of the semester, I hope these tips and bits of information will be helpful.

Well, well wellness
The end of the semester can be exciting and stressful. Need to talk about finals, graduation, internship, moving or something else related to end of the academic year? Schedule a confidential problem-solving conversation with a Counselor from Counseling and Consultation Service. Available Monday through Friday. Let’s Talk!
Safety Tip
As the weather warms up, it’s important that you continue to be aware of your surroundings and walk with a friend when possible. Use ridesharing or public transportation to avoid walking alone at night. Keep your eyes up, your earbuds out and eliminate distractions. Multiple events in April will impact parking and travel on campus, so plan for delays.
Career Help Through Handshake
As the semester ends, leverage Handshake through Student Life’s Buckeye Careers to fulfill your career needs, whether it's finding job and internship opportunities, networking or preparing for post-graduation plans. All currently enrolled students and alumni have access to Handshake via handshake.osu.edu. Key features include personalized career recommendations, a job board, information on events and workshops as well as opportunities to network and schedule appointments with career services staff.
Sizzle
Student Life is again hosting the Spring Sizzle for students on Wednesday, April 24, starting at 6:30 p.m. in the Ohio Union’s Archie M. Griffin Ballroom. Join me to take a study break and enjoy breakfast items, hot off the griddle.
Seal of Prevention
Ohio State has earned the 2023 Campus Prevention Network (CPN) Seal of Prevention. The honor represents the highest standard for online prevention education and recognizes institutions making a measurable impact across critical areas including sexual assault prevention, alcohol and drug misuse, mental health and inclusion. It highlights the work of the Student Wellness Center, including the Collegiate Recovery Community, and other entities around the university.
OH! The Places You’ll Go
With a student budget in mind, Ohio State’s Discount Ticket Program (D-Tix) offers tickets to Columbus-area shows, museums, concerts, sporting events, and more at an exclusive rate. Our spotlight ticket this month is to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. Discounted tickets are $10, available two per BuckID and they don’t expire until January 1, 2025, so you can even use them for their amazing Wildlights display this winter. You can get to the zoo by riding COTA. Visit the D-Tix website: https://activities.osu.edu/programs/dtix
Meet the Team
I’d like to introduce you to Josh Bodnar, Director of BuckID. Meet Josh by reading his online bio.
