Iresha Jayasinghe (she/her) is a third-year Ph.D. student in Environmental Social Sciences with a graduate minor in Public Policy and Management. She is an international student from Sri Lanka and graduated from Illinois State University with a master's in Conservation Biology. Her research is focused on understanding how international students in the U.S. connect with nature and how to improve their engagement with the environment. Iresha also serves in the OSU senate and the Council of Graduate Students as the graduate student senator for Biological Sciences and FAES. She is also the Outreach Chair and Graduate Recruitment Chair for The Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science, OSU chapter. Her hobbies include traveling, listening to music, watching Korean dramas, photography, and spending time with cats.
