Iresha Jayasinghe

Iresha Jayasinghe (she/her) is a Ph.D. candidate in the School of Environment and Natural Resources specializing in Environmental Social Sciences with a graduate minor in Public Policy and Management. She is an international student from Sri Lanka and graduated from Illinois State University with a master's in Conservation Biology. Her research is focused on understanding how Asian international students in the U.S. connect with nature and how to improve their engagement with the environment. Iresha also serves on the International Student Affairs Committee in the Council of Graduate Students. Her hobbies include reading, traveling, listening to music, watching Korean dramas, photography, and spending time with cats.
