Brooke Tacsar

Brooke is a third-year undergraduate student pursuing public affairs journalism and criminology and criminal justice studies with a minor in nonprofit management. She is a Student Assistant for Parent and Family Relations, where she spearheads the writing of Department Debriefs, a monthly article series acknowledged by external panels. Deeply committed to community involvement, Brooke is a reporter for The Lantern and senior editor for Her Campus. Furthermore, she has participated in four Buck-I-SERV trips, volunteering with local nonprofits in Kansas City, Nashville, Atlanta and Ghana to address food insecurity, mentor youth in a juvenile detention center, and support an orphanage in Africa. Brooke's contributions have been recognized by the Dean's Leadership Award for her alignment with the office's mission and campus-wide positive impact. As a proud first-generation student and returning SEEDs member, Brooke is undoubtedly a Buckeye.
