Today's Update: Wednesday, February 10

February 10, 2021

Dear Student Life Team, Does your “to do” list include expressing appreciation? Is there anything about being kind, to yourself and others?

We are officially in #BuckeyeLove season, which is an annual university campaign that encourages all Buckeyes to share what they love about Ohio State. This year there is a special emphasis on appreciation and kindness. The goal is to show our gratitude and compassion for one another and the communities in which we live and serve.

The #BuckeyeLove campaign, now through Feb. 19, is a time to highlight who we are as a community through sharing and inspiring moments of pride and connectedness — those special moments that bring us together and compel us to care for one another.

I’ve been posting messages of kindness and appreciation on my social media, and I encourage you to share your own #BuckeyeLove. Check out Kindness at Ohio State website for ideas and the opportunity to “send kudos.” Other ways to show gratitude are as simple as sending a note or email to someone to say thank you, or you can drop me a note to recommend someone for my weekly High Five Friday message.

This is our time to cherish and share those simple acts that inspire a smile, make us laugh, remind us we’re loved and bring out our best selves. It’s our opportunity to define what kindness means to us, and why our families, friends and fellow Buckeyes hold a special place in our hearts.

I encourage you to take some time and share your Scarlet and Gratefulness through the #BuckeyeLove campaign.
