Today's Update: Thursday, April 8
April 8, 2021
Dear Student Life Team, I can’t decide whether this has been the longest semester ever, or if it has flown by. It depends on the kind of day I’m having.
In any case, it’s winding down, and now it’s time to prepare for students moving out of the residence halls.
Our plan is very similar to how we’ve handled Move-Out recently in that students have to schedule time slots to move and it will be staggered over the end of the semester. Students can begin to choose their time slot beginning this Friday, April 9, and they can pick from any day between April 10 and May 1. We expect the majority of students to Move-Out beginning April 23.
The residence halls will close on May 1, and any student staying with us over the summer will need to move to a designated housing by noon that day.
Your help is once again needed to make sure the process runs smoothly in a safe and healthy manner. We are looking for assistance to greet families, wipe down carts, direct traffic, answer questions and wish students well as they depart.
The dates we need staffing support are between Friday, April 23 and Saturday, May 1. There are 3 shifts each day: 8-11:30 a.m., 11:15 a.m.–2:45 p.m. and 2:30-6 p.m. You can sign up online: go.osu.edu/moveouthelp.
This is important work, and I am Scarlet and Grateful to you for helping our students Move-Out.
