Today's Update: Monday, April 12

April 12, 2021

Dear Student Life Team, I want to remind you that President Johnson and a few other senior leaders, including me, are hosting another in the series of COVID-19 Town Hall meetings this evening. The program will be moderated by former Columbus Public Health Director Dr. Teresa Long.

The discussion will include information on fall campus reactivation plans, updates about the state of the pandemic and vaccination progress as well as time for questions, both those that were submitted in advance and those that come up live. I’ll be presenting on our plans in Student Life, so special thanks to our reactivation work groups that have been helping in the effort.

It begins at 5:30 p.m., and you can sign up online.

This is the third in the series of monthly Town Hall meetings that have been held this spring.  During the most recent one, on March 1, the discussion included information on university planning efforts related to the summer term and fall semester.

If you can’t make it, we will post a recording of the Town Hall on the Safe and Healthy Buckeyes website ( You can watch the first two sessions from February and March there as well.

Much has happened since early March, and this is an excellent opportunity to get an update on what is happening now and hear what the university is planning for summer and beyond.

I hope you will join us. It’s a Scarlet and Great way to stay informed.
