Dear Student Life team,

Happy High Five Friday!

Last week was the extremely successful Career and Internship Fair. High Fives to Nancy Thompson and the Buckeye Careers team, as well as those who helped out during the Fair, for their hard work. One employer told us, “This is the best career fair we attend. Buckeye Career is absolutely the easiest and best career office we work with.” High Fives to Brandon Balandra, Chelsea Black, Rashida Bowman, Arianna Camel, Aisha Echols, Leah Halper, Dan Huffman, Kathy Krajnak, Steph Lingofelter, Erin McAlhaney, Anne McDaniel, Karen Narwicz, D’Arcy Oaks, Josh Oconer, Brooke Olson, Jen Pelletier, Tori Rehr, Kristen Rupert Davis, Julie Sanzone, Julie Schultz, Aubrie Smith, Maxwell Steele, Erica Szeyller, Alex Thomas, Rochelle Toth, Ian Trautman, Brent Vogel, Anna Wagner, David Wirt, Noelle Bartley, Jen Cottrell, Dan Crowley (who walked 9 miles helping with coat / bag check),  Colleen Lins, Sara Morand, Jeff Pelletier and  Stacy Smith, who went above and beyond making copies of the career fair maps as they kept running out!

They also had a Career Week at Ohio State Lima. High Five to Rachel Richardson for coordinating and executing a very successful effort.

High Five to Daren Lehman for being named to the Board of Directors of Elevator U as secretary. Elevator U is an association of colleges, universities, government agencies and public institutions to promote excellence in design, construction and maintenance for all forms of vertical transportation.

Student Life Marketing’s Aisha Echols gets a High Five for coming up with an elegantly simple solution to a vexing problem.

High Five to Brendan Greisberger for helping connect me with two truly extraordinary students who represented Student Life very well during a few important speaking engagements over the past weeks.

Some of you have heard me talk about the importance of being one Student Life team so that no matter where students show up, we can get them to the right resources. The Student Wellness Center front desk staff and team lived out that commitment, spending 90 minutes on a recent evening helping a struggling student. High Fives to everyone involved.

At last week’s Scarlet and Great Gathering I covered a lot of information, and I know many of you would like more detail on some or all of the topics. If you would like to know more about any of the things I touched on, you can fill out this online interest survey to indicate what you’d like to learn more about.

Have a Scarlet and Great weekend and GO BUCKS!
