Today's Update: Friday, November 6
November 6, 2020
Dear Student Life Team, It’s been another beautiful week ending in warm temperatures and plenty of sunshine. I hope you paused long enough to enjoy the spectacle of fall colors.
A couple weeks ago I offered High Fives to some of our colleagues across campus and beyond who are adding their Scarlet and Great support to your amazing contributions. Today I want to recognize a few more of these great friends of Student Life.
David Chuha and Jason Miller of the Office of the Chief Information Officer get High Fives for working all night long to help create a new contact tracing software. They have been incredibly patient with our team’s many questions and requests.
Also with the OCIO, Eric Mayberry has been extremely patient helping teach our team about the many dashboards that have been created to provide Student Life with situational awareness.
A number of people have been very helpful in various aspects of quarantine and isolation (Q/I) housing. Ben Kanzeg and Kacy Bullard from Government Affairs, and Erin Prosser of Planning, Architecture and Real Estate each get High Fives for helping us navigate an arrangement with the Franklin County Board of Elections that allowed students in Q/I to vote.
High Five to Traffic and Transportation’s Tom Holman for graciously helping us to coordinate the transportation for students to Q/I housing.
Joey Eringman of the Department of Public Safety gets a High Five for assisting us in helping us to arrange for security services in Q/I housing, with the added benefit of providing great relief for the Student Life team filling those roles.
High Five’s to Environmental Health and Safety’s Taylor Allen and Ross McClain for working weekends and late hours to provide N95 protective gear fit testing to SL staff so we can run treats and supplies to our students in Q/I housing.
A High Five goes to all the Wexner Medical Center staff who go to Student Health Services every day to help provide COVID testing for our students.
Have a Scarlet and Great weekend.
