Today's Update: Friday, March 26

March 26, 2021

Dear Student Life Team, It’s High Five Friday!

Brenda Sharp-Harris gets our first High Five for a job well done, as she retires next week after 22 years of service at Ohio State, all with Student Life Rec Sports. We’ll miss her!

The Multicultural Center’s Madison Eagle gets a High Five for all of her work on Women's History month programming. Her efforts were not only appreciated by all who attended, but also generated a number of very positive stories in The Lantern.

High Fives to Gabi Bockelman, Thyrone Henderson and Matt Gaul for spending spring semester serving as the leads for Q/I housing at Lawrence Tower, covering the 7 a.m.-9 p.m. shift, Monday-Sunday throughout the semester.

High Five to Housing’s Christy Blessing who has spearheaded the programming needed for the housing portal to enable current student reselection, new student contracting and the roommate group, room self-selection and move-out time slots processes.

Student Life Technology Services gets High Five love today, with Sean Miller nominated for troubleshooting any and all technology issues, and being a patient, helpful resource for his units.

And High Five to Robin Bolterman of SLTS, whose clients say she “has been extremely helpful answering technology questions with a very fast turnaround time and a smile on her face as she always has the answers.”  Keep smiling, Robin!

High Fives to Rachel DeMooy and Samuel Shallenberger of the Willie Young Sr. Off Campus and Commuter Student Engagement department for keeping their focus on our students, continually promoting their growth and development.

Mollie Workman and Carly Zeiger from Buckeye Careers get High Fives for consulting and providing day-of assistance for the successful College of Social Work Virtual Job Fair and the Virtual Regional Campus Opportunity Fair.

High Five to Human Resources consultant Leah Hall for being a proactive and thoughtful partner, always helping her departments work quickly to help find answers to questions and assisting in solving problems.

Finally, a High Five to everyone who has been sending me nominees for High Fives. I love hearing about the extraordinary work our Student Life team is doing, and I especially love sharing their successes with you.

I’ll have more High Fives next week, because you keep being Scarlet and Great.
