Today's Update: Friday, February 25

February 25, 2022

Dear Student Life Team,

Happy High Five Friday!

I want to offer a High Five to everyone on our Lima campus for making the Student Life Executive Team feel so welcome earlier this week, including Bryan Albright, Justin Courtney, Amy Livchak, Chad Welker, Courtney Roeder, Temple Patton, Samantha Haudenschield, Rachel Richardson, Dr. Tim Rehner, Dr. Mark Kleffner and Dr. Kamesh Casukhela. As you know from updates during our recent Scarlet and Great Gatherings, we’ve been touring the Ohio State campuses around the state to get a first-hand look at their amazing work. We saw, and learned, a great deal, on our visit to Ohio State Lima.

A High Five as well to Ohio State Wooster Residence Life Administrative Associate, Kelly Kyser. She has only been at the university a few months but has already done a lot to get to know the student staff and students. She is someone the students trust and feel comfortable coming to with any issues they want to discuss.

Our Administration and Finance team, including Tiffany Quattlebaum, Dan Huffman, Molly Hall, Eric Stucke, Brittany Crall and Chris Addison, get High Fives for their outstanding work both as a team and in conjunction with the teams they support. They’ve helped drive strong collaboration and communication with other areas and the Enterprise Project to ensure the new systems, financial reporting and business processes meet the needs of Student Life.

A collective High Five to our Service2Facilities students and staff. They keep our call center open 24x7 and are available to speak with our students regarding emergency maintenance or housekeeping issues that come up during those hours when most of us are asleep.

S2F nominates Stephen Mancini for a High Five. They say he regularly calls Service2Facilities for building maintenance issues. “We don’t just get a ‘door is jammed’ request. We always get a ‘door is jammed and I’m worried someone will get hurt using it’ report showing how much care he has for not just the students but how his work fits into the bigger picture of our academic mission.”

Don’t forget, Monday (2/28) at 1:30 p.m. is our next Scarlet and Great Gathering. We’ll be virtual again, and I hope you can join us.
