Today's Update: Friday, April 16

April 16, 2021

Dear Student Life Team, The Spring Game is tomorrow, with Brutus, the cheerleaders and TBDBITL. That’s a big deal for this football fan! High Fives to everyone involved, and special High Fives to all of you who have helped keep our campus safe and healthy, which has made this experience possible.

High Five to Jenn Irwin of Student Advocacy for (yet again) handling a difficult situation with grace, empathy and professionalism.

Will Cangialosi of Sorority and Fraternity Life gets a High Five for assisting with the technology and organizational support for the State of Ohio Grand Chapter, Collin’s Law Conversation.  Over ten Ohio universities attended this student-led program and there were nearly 800 attendees from across the state.

Kim Pachell, Micky Sharma and Kelly Smith, on behalf of all the members of the Consultation and Assessment Team (CAT), asked me to give High Fives to Ryan Lovell and Nicki Adams for expertly led meetings and wonderfully organized agendas. Their work is crucial to supporting students, and I’m happy to give those High Fives.

Another request I’m happy to oblige is for High Fives to the Student Life Technology Services team for dealing with the changes brought about by the pandemic and keeping us all working together from so many different locations.

High Fives to Mike Brecht and Alex Cates of Building and Mechanical Services for going above and beyond to fix equipment at Courtside that has vexed the team for some time.

Residence Life’s Inclusive Excellence Spotlight continues to recognize team members for Scarlet and Great service related to diversity, equity, inclusion and social justice work. High Fives to recent honorees Sophie Hill, Alpha Camara, Olivia Litvin, Ani Binishi and Terianne Pitts.

Have a Scarlet and Great weekend, and Go Buckeyes!
