On Demand Mental Health Services. Your Student Life for the week of 1/24/21

January 24, 2021

The counseling center at Ohio State has been around for more than 75 years. That is a long history of supporting students, and it’s a true point of pride for our staff.

Therapists at Student Life Counseling and Consultation Service (CCS) care about students and work hard to support students. In this effort, we want to ensure we are meeting your needs and remain available to you in this period of time and change.

You are busy and you do not have time to wait, nor should you! However, did you know there are several ways proactive ways to reach out and that many of these are available virtually on-demand?

For example, Let’s Talk is opportunity to speak confidentially, one-on-one, with a counselor. This service is great for problem solving, advice or just to talk about your troubles. Need to pick up some strategies to improve mental health? Log on to one of our daily drop-in workshops. Over 90% of students who attend say they use a strategy they have picked up in a session to manage stress or anxiety in the following two weeks of attendance.

Need to get ahead of the game and set some goals for wellness? Schedule an appointment with a Wellness Coach at the Student Life Student Wellness Center. Need help in the middle of the night? We’ve got your back 24/7. Just call CCS and be connected to a counselor right away. As always, scheduling a phone screening with CCS is always a good idea when you need support. But, don’t hesitate to use the additional resources designed to be here when you need them!
