Doug Koyle

Doug, in his role as Assistant Vice President, serves on the executive leadership team for the Office of Student Life. His focus and areas of expertise include student services, strategy, and administration. He assists with program reviews for individual departments, serves as a culture strategist and manages projects for Student Life central administration. He received both a B.A. and M.A. in music theory from Ohio State. He has worked in Student Life at Ohio State since 1987.

Louise leads the Program Review process for the units within Student Life. She benchmarks best practices at fellow institutions, directs and manages scheduled program reviews and ensures alignment with the Student Life strategic plan and priorities. Louise also works with the regional campuses to enhance the foundation and application of Student Life programs and philosophies. She holds a B.S. in psychology from Ohio State and a Ph.D. in counseling psychology from the University of Minnesota. She has more than 35 years of experience in college mental health care at Ohio State and is a national expert in the field.

Karen M. Kyle

Karen leads the team that assists students in resolving problems and removing barriers to academic success. Karen and her staff also coordinate the University's crisis response in the event of a student death, serious injury, or personal trauma. She earned a B.A. in interpersonal and public communication and a master's degree in higher education administration from Bowling Green State University. She has worked for Ohio State and Student Life since 1996. She has also worked for other universities in student activities, international student services, and residence life.

Diane Plumly

Diane oversees Ohio State's insurance programs to ensure students have affordable options available to access quality healthcare providers. She and her team work closely with students and their families, university departments and insurance plan administrators to create a seamless experience from enrollment management to claims payment. The Student Health Insurance office offers both comprehensive coverage for students and their dependents and a supplemental program called Wilce Care for students who have major medical coverage through their parent's plans or other sources. Diane is a member of several national groups representing university student medical insurance and a nationally recognized expert on the subject. She holds a B.S in Allied Medical Professions, and a M. A. in Public Administration from Ohio State . She has been a staff member since 1983, having served in several capacities including associate director of Student Health Services before being named director of Student Health Insurance in 2008.
