Ohio State students are fighting hunger in Columbus this semester with the 29th Annual Hunger Cleanup! 1 in 5 Americans go hungry, every single day. College students know this is wrong and are standing together to fight hunger by participating in the Hunger Cleanup. It’s pretty easy to get involved and a lot of fun! Students form teams with their dorm floors, Greek houses, student organizations, a few friends, or register as individuals, on the Hunger Cleanup website at www.hungercleanup.org. Then, the teams will compete to see who can raise the most money for Feeding America’s Columbus branch food bank (or an organization of your team's choice). Once you’re registered, you can use your profile that you make on the Hunger Cleanup website to send emails to family, friends, and professors asking them to donate in your team’s name for every hour of service work that you do throughout the semester and on the Hunger Cleanup day of service, April 12th. All of the money raised will go to the local Columbus food bank, where they are able to turn every dollar raised by students into 8 meals for the hungry in our community. We are also looking for campus, regional, and state team captains - please contact Irene Cadwell at irene@studentsagainsthunger.org if you would like more information about becoming a team leader. Check out the website, get registered, and start making a difference today! www.hungercleanup.org
