Mindfulness for Stress & Anxiety (undergraduates)


Time: Monday, March 17, 2014 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM

Location: 4th Floor, Younkin Success Center

This group will encourage participants to learn and practice skills that may prove helpful in managing stress, becoming more aware of our circumstances and how they react to pleasant and unpleasant circumstances. Cultivating awareness sometimes helps a person recognize habitual, rote patterns and to choose which coping mechanisms are most helpful. This program consists of eight sessions, employing both lecture and practice. You must be physically healthy enough to meditate in a chair or on the floor for 30 minutes at a time. Participants must be prescreened by the facilitator. Please speak with your current counselor regarding this process.
