Today, suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death among college students. RUOK? Day teaches the community how to prevent suicide by asking a simple question, "Hey are you ok?" Our event includes four sections that provide students with all the tools they need to participate in the basics of suicide prevention.
Those that visit all four sections are rewarded with our free t-shirt! In an effort to minimize the stigma that surrounds mental health discussion, there will be refreshments, upbeat music, free giveaways, interactive games, role-playing and more! We will also be offering a gatekeeper training session to those who would like to be specially trained in QPR, the "CPR" of suicide prevention.
