 LGBTQ 101/Safe Zone Training

The Ohio State University and the surrounding Central Ohio community are proud of the area's diverse population and support cultural diversity in every possible way.  This workshop will help you to understand what it means to be lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or queer (LGBTQ).  For some, just gaining a basic understanding is the starting point.  For others, learning to be an active ally to LGBTQ members of our campus is a step they want to take.  Regardless of where you are, the Safe Zone Project was created to provide information, break down stereotypes, and open up dialogue.

The Safe Zone training is designed to raise awareness and discuss ways to make the spaces we live and work in more welcoming and inclusive of LGBTQ people. After completing the training, you have the option of receiving a sticker or magnet to designate your space as a Safe Zone.  All are welcome to attend!

This training is offered in the Multicultural Center the second Monday of every month at Noon. Feel free to bring your lunch!
