Make your day off a day on! Participate in the 2013 Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service, which will be taking place Monday, January 21, 2013. Registration will begin at 8:00am in the Archie Griffin Ballroom of the Ohio Union. After registration, students will be broken up into smaller groups led by site leaders and transported to their service sites for the morning. Upon returning from their service, all site leaders will go through a small reflection activity with their groups to commemorate the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. Pay It Forward and the Frank W. Hale Jr. Black Cultural Center partner to host this event to bring together nearly 1,000 Buckeyes for a one-of-a-kind community service project where students participate and serve at agencies across the city of Columbus. The volunteer projects include clean-up, working with youth, literacy education, serving meals, office work, and a variety of other worthwhile projects. Breakfast and lunch will be provided and all participants will receive a t-shirt (while supplies last)!
