In an effort to promote service and friendship nationally, Rotaract Club of OSU will be sponsoring a service trip during Spring Break 2013 to Nashville, TN from March 9th through March 13th. Volunteering at various Nashville-based organizations will fulfill the club's motto, "Service Above Self." We will be providing opportunities to volunteer at least 10-15 hours over the course of the trip, with numerous leadership opportunities. Volunteers will be able to spend their free time exploring Nashville and sampling the local cuisine. The cost of this trip will be approximately $300 (includes hotel, travel, and a group dinner).
The Rotaract Club of OSU will be participating in a humanitarian service project this spring break in Antigua, Guatemala. Helping to construct a house for some of the poorest people in Guatemala will fulfill the club's motto, "Service Above Self." We will work with local skilled masons and a nonprofit organization, Constru Casa, to build the house. We will also see some of the country and experience Guatemalan culture. The estimated cost of the 2013 trip (March 8th through March 17th) is approximately $1,350. This cost covers airfare, travel insurance, lodging, meals, program fee, and airport transportation costs.
