Celebrating 100 years this year, the Homecoming Parade is one of the oldest traditions at Ohio State and features floats and appearances from student organizations, university departments, community organizations, and local celebrities.
The Homecoming Parade will take place on Friday, October 5, 2012 beginning at the Ohio Stadium and ending at the South Oval. The parade will begin at 6:30 p.m., with pre-parade festivities starting at 5:30 p.m. Immediately following the parade, the Homecoming Pep Rally, sponsored by the Ohio State University Alumni Association and the Student-Alumni Council, will take place on the Ohio Union's West Plaza.
University departments, student organizations, alumni clubs, and businesses are all welcome to apply to participate in the Homecoming Parade. Applications will be reviewed and spots will be granted based on the number of openings.
